BALER, Aurora — National government agencies brought various services and assistance closer to Aurora residents through the Handog ng Pangulo: “Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat” multi-agency service caravan held Sept. 14, 2026, at the Provincial Capitol Grounds in Baler.

The activity, held as part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s birthday celebration, was led by Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Ramon “Mon” A. Ilagan and Aurora Gov. Isidro P. Galban, with national government agencies, local government units, and uniformed services participating.

Government agencies established service booths to provide assistance, consultations, and other frontline services to residents from different municipalities of the province.

Among the participating agencies were the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), National Irrigation Administration (NIA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Philippine National Police, Department of Health, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Justice, Public Attorney’s Office, Philippine Statistics Authority, National Bureau of Investigation, and provincial government offices.

The activity included the distribution of farm inputs, biological products and livelihood grants; AKSYON Fund assistance; e-Titles and other land documents; irrigation subsidies; certificates for former 4Ps beneficiaries; supplementary feeding certificates; and training and commitment vouchers.

In his message, Galban said the delivery of government services to Aurora showed how national programs could directly benefit families, farmers, workers and communities.

“Hindi nakakalimutan ang Aurora. May kaagapay tayo sa Malacañang,” Galban said, adding that the provincial government would continue coordinating with national agencies to bring programs and services to the province.

He said the provincial government would pursue opportunities that could improve the lives of Aurora residents and align national government programs with the province’s Sigla at Galak governance and development agenda.

For his part, Ilagan, representing President Marcos, emphasized the importance of bringing government programs and services closer to communities.

Ilagan said the opportunity to serve the Filipino people was among the most important aspects of the Handog ng Pangulo initiative.

Provincial Board Member Ena Tablang also said the activity provided an opportunity to bring assistance and government services closer to residents and emphasized the importance of coordinated action in reaching more beneficiaries.

The 91st Infantry (SINAGTALA) Battalion of the Philippine Army, under Lt. Col. Michelangelo G. Ramirez, also participated in the caravan by setting up information booths on the West Philippine Sea (WPS) and Philippine Army recruitment.

The WPS booth provided information on the country’s maritime rights and responsibilities, while the recruitment booth gave visitors information on Army career opportunities, qualifications, and the application process.

Ramirez said the activity provided an avenue for government agencies to coordinate in bringing essential services and information closer to communities while promoting public awareness of national security matters.

The service caravan highlighted the continuing coordination between national and local government offices in bringing public services and assistance directly to communities in Aurora. (Jason de Asis)
