CLARK FREEPORT —Clark Development Corporation (CDC) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) opened a temporary headquarters to serve as the planning hub for WorldSkills Philippines Clark 2026, scheduled on September 8–10.

The office, located at CDC’s Building 2122, will coordinate logistics, stakeholder engagement, and venue preparations for the national competition. Around 350 competitors from 18 regions will showcase skills in 30 areas, with more than 2,000 participants, experts, and delegates expected to attend.

It can be recalled that TESDA and CDC formally launched WorldSkills Philippines Clark 2026 last July, underscoring Clark’s role as venue partner. The turnover of the headquarters builds on that launch, providing a working base to translate commitments into daily coordination, stakeholder engagement, and operational planning.

CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera said the initiative reflects a shared commitment to workforce development. “Programs like WorldSkills bridge classroom learning with the competencies needed to succeed in careers,” she noted.

TESDA Deputy Director General Vidal Villanueva III, representing Director General Sec. Jose Francisco ‘Kiko’ Benitez, thanked CDC for the headquarters, describing it as a hub for planning and coordination toward the successful staging of the competition.

WorldSkills competitions globally cover six major sectors — Construction and Building Technology, Creative Arts and Fashion, Information and Communication Technology, Manufacturing and Engineering Technology, Social and Personal Services, and Transportation and Logistics — encompassing more than 60 skill areas.

For Clark 2026, TESDA has aligned 30 disciplines with industries operating inside the Freeport, including electronics, welding, aircraft maintenance, cybersecurity, logistics, hospitality, cooking, and electrical installation.

WorldSkills Philippines, organized by TESDA, serves as the country’s platform for showcasing technical‑vocational excellence and identifying skilled Filipinos who may represent the nation in regional and international events. The turnover forms part of continuing collaboration between CDC and TESDA to strengthen the country’s pool of globally competitive professionals.
