CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Police authorities seized approximately Php1.34 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested two High-Value Individuals (HVIs) during a joint anti-illegal drug operation in Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) reported Friday.

The operation was conducted at about 7:30 p.m. on July 30 in Barangay Pulong Sampalok by operatives of the Doña Remedios Trinidad Municipal Police Station’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and the Bulacan Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

The suspects, identified only by their aliases “Marivic” and “Rey,” were classified as High-Value Individuals under the government’s anti-illegal drug campaign.

Authorities recovered about 197 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php1,339,600. Also confiscated during the operation were the marked buy-bust money, a gray bag allegedly used in the illegal transaction, and an orange Honda Giorno motorcycle believed to have been used in the suspects’ drug activities.

PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez said the successful operation reflects the police force’s continuing efforts to disrupt the supply chain of illegal drugs and dismantle the criminal networks behind their distribution.

“Our campaign is not measured solely by the number of arrests we make, but by the communities we protect. Every drug haul intercepted and every High-Value Individual taken off the streets weakens the illegal drug network and prevents these dangerous substances from reaching our families, especially our youth. We will continue to pursue those who choose to profit from illegal drugs with the full force of the law and in close coordination with our partner agencies,” Mendez said.

Mendez also commended the operating personnel for their professionalism and effective coordination, emphasizing that intelligence-driven operations remain a key component of PRO3’s anti-illegal drug campaign under the Philippine National Police’s Focused Agenda.

The arrested suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PRO3 reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations, dismantling criminal networks, and ensuring safer communities across Central Luzon through lawful, intelligence-led law enforcement efforts. (Jason de Asis)
