CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Sustained anti-illegal drug operations conducted by the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) led to the arrest of several high-value drug personalities and the confiscation of more than Php1.1 million worth of suspected shabu in separate operations across Central Luzon from May 27 to 29, 2026.
Authorities seized a total of 167.51 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of Php1,139,068 during buy-bust operations in Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, and Bataan.

In Guimba, Nueva Ecija, operatives of the Guimba Municipal Police Station arrested a high-value drug suspect during a buy-bust operation. Recovered from the suspect were approximately 63 grams of suspected shabu valued at Php428,400.

In a separate operation in San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan, police arrested another high-value target and confiscated around 52 grams of suspected shabu worth Php353,600. Authorities also recovered an improvised firearm loaded with live ammunition from the suspect.

Police said the successful operations prevented illegal drugs from reaching communities across Central Luzon and highlighted the continuing crackdown against drug-related activities in the region.
PRO3 Regional Director Police Brig. General Jess B. Mendez commended the operating units for their relentless efforts in the campaign against illegal drugs.
“These successful operations send a strong message that PRO3 remains relentless in going after individuals involved in the illegal drug trade. We will continue to sustain intelligence-driven operations and strengthen our law enforcement efforts to keep our communities safe,” Mendez said.
He added that the accomplishment reflects the Philippine National Police’s continuing commitment to its anti-illegal drug campaign under the PNP Focused Agenda.
“Hindi tayo titigil sa pagpapatupad ng batas laban sa mga nagpapakalat ng ilegal na droga. Ang bawat matagumpay na operasyon ay hakbang tungo sa mas ligtas at mas maayos na mga komunidad sa Central Luzon,” he added.
Authorities are now preparing the appropriate criminal charges against the arrested suspects for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Jason de Asis)
