CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – The arrest of a wanted suspect in Pampanga has prompted two more victims to come forward and positively identify the accused in connection with separate criminal incidents, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said Friday.

The suspect was arrested on July 9 through a joint operation conducted by PRO3 and partner law enforcement units.

Following the arrest, the additional victims voluntarily coordinated with investigators and provided statements and information that may support the filing of additional criminal charges against the suspect.

PRO3 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez said the development underscores the importance of public cooperation in the successful investigation and prosecution of criminal cases.

“The courage shown by these victims in coming forward strengthens our case against the accused and helps prevent further victimization. We encourage other victims and witnesses to cooperate with authorities and assure them that the PNP will provide the necessary support and protection throughout the process,” Mendez said.

He added that the willingness of victims and witnesses to assist law enforcement plays a crucial role in ensuring that offenders are held accountable and that justice is served.

PRO3 said it remains committed to intensifying its campaign against criminality by pursuing wanted persons and encouraging the public to report crimes and cooperate with authorities, in line with the Philippine National Police’s thrust of delivering “Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.” (Jason de Asis)
