AFAB Upgrade Sports Facilities to Promote Work-Life Balance in the Freeport

BATAAN– The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) is enhancing the recreational landscape inside the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) with new and improved sports facilities designed to support a more balanced environment for work and daily life.

Among the projects being prepared are the redesign of the existing basketball court and development of new tennis and pelota courts, which will provide more open spaces for sports and leisure within the Freeport.

The basketball court, a long-standing feature in the main industrial zone, is set for a full redesign. The project will include new flooring, shaded seating, and upgraded lighting to make the space more comfortable for both players and spectators. The layout will retain its open character while improving accessibility, safety, and overall appearance. Once completed, it will remain familiar site in the Freeport – refreshed, functional, and ready for daily use.

Meanwhile, the planned tennis and pelota courts will introduce new areas for physical activity and recreation. The facilities will feature standard playing surfaces, shared seating, and open surroundings suitable for group play and casual exercise.

These additions will give workers, residents, and visitors more opportunities to stay active and connected through sport. (PR)
