ZAMBALES- Pormal nang isinumite ni Zambales 1st District Representative Jay Khonghun kay Cecile Manlutac-Section Chief, Indexing and Monitorong Group at Rely Aguilar – Receiving Officer, Legislative Calendaring ng kongreso ang panukalang HB 7001 noong Enero 31, 2023.
Sa maikling mensahe ng mambabatas sa kanyang social media page ay sinabi nito na “Today, I filed a bill which calls for the condonation of all unpaid obligations, including interests and surcharges, of PUD-Olongapo to PSALM amounting to PhP7,334,498,407.91 Billion”.
May titulong “An act providing for the condonation of all outstanding obligations, interest payments, value added taxes, and other charges on power bills of the Public Utilities Department-Olongapo City with the National Power Corporation and the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation”, ang panukala ni Khonghun.
“To the people of Olongapo, this legislative measure will finally release our city from all unsettled electricity bills that plagued us for more than a decade, God bless Olongapo”, saad pa ng kongresista.
