CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Peñaranda Municipal Police Station (MPS) strengthened its partnership with barangay peacekeepers through the distribution of JBM Patrol System shirts to 23 representatives from the municipality’s 10 barangays during the flag-raising ceremony in Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija, on September 28, 2026.

Mayor Joselito Ramos and Police Capt. Silvestre C. Colanza, officer-in-charge of Peñaranda MPS, led the activity, which was also attended by local officials and barangay tanods.

The shirts, donated by Mayor Ramos, were provided in support of the JBM Patrol System of Police Regional Office 3 Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez, which promotes police visibility, stronger community partnerships, and responsive police services.

The initiative also complements the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s Safer Cities Program, particularly its efforts to strengthen coordination among the police, local government units, barangays, and communities in maintaining peace and order.

Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Director Police Col. Ritchie R. Claravall recognized the continuing efforts of Peñaranda MPS and its local partners to strengthen grassroots participation in public safety.

Colanza expressed appreciation to the municipal government for its continued support, saying the assistance would help strengthen coordination between the police and barangay peacekeepers.

“We sincerely thank Mayor Joselito Ramos for his continued support to Peñaranda MPS and our barangay tanods. This assistance strengthens our partnership at the grassroots level and helps us sustain police visibility and closer coordination with the community,” Colanza said.

“We will continue to work closely with the local government, barangay officials, and our force multipliers to ensure that peace and order concerns are addressed promptly and that police services remain accessible and responsive to the people of Peñaranda,” he added.

Peñaranda MPS was also recognized as one of the Top 3 Class C police stations regionwide, citing its sustained efforts in police operations, community engagement, and public service.

Through continued coordination among the police, local government, and barangay peacekeepers, Peñaranda MPS aims to bring public safety initiatives closer to residents and strengthen community participation in maintaining peace and order. (Jason de Asis)
