MARIVELES, Bataan — The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) met with the Coalition of Labor Unions in Bataan (CLUB) to discuss workers’ welfare, infrastructure improvements and ongoing development projects in the Freeport Area of Bataan.

The dialogue was led by AFAB Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Hussein P. Pangandaman, who said the labor coalition plays an important role in facilitating communication between AFAB and workers in the Freeport.

During the meeting, he recounted AFAB’s ongoing and upcoming initiatives to enhance the zone, including improvements to the Zigzag Road lighting for road safety, the development of recreational facilities, the opening of new food establishments, boardwalk projects, and other upcoming developments that will improve the working environment and promote a better work-life balance for FAB workers.

The Administrator also reiterated that AFAB is open to dialogue and encouraged workers to raise their concerns through appropriate channels, emphasizing that constructive discussions help shape the kind of public service they deserve – one that is collaborative and responsive.

The successful dialogue affirms AFAB’s commitment to maintaining transparent communication with the union and prioritizing programs and initiatives that directly benefit the FAB workforce. (PR)
