Bulacan Police Arrest Four Suspects in Minor’s Death Within 48 Hours

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police authorities have resolved the case of a missing minor following the discovery of her body in Bustos, leading to the arrest of four suspects—including the victim’s biological father—within 48 hours of the incident in a statement released on April 22, 2026.

According to the Philippine National Police, the case began on April 18, 2026, when a concerned citizen reported the discovery of a lifeless female body in a grassy vacant lot near the Angat River in Barangay San Pedro, Bustos. The report was received by authorities at around 6:30 p.m., prompting an immediate response from local police units.

Upon arrival at the scene, responding officers conducted an on-site investigation and confirmed that the victim was a 16-year-old girl who had earlier been reported missing on April 11, 2026. Her body was found partially concealed in a grassy area.

As the investigation progressed, police uncovered new information that led to the identification of several individuals linked to the crime. Among those taken into custody was the victim’s biological father, who had earlier filed the missing person report.

Authorities intensified their investigation through interviews, evidence gathering, and intelligence operations to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Within 48 hours after the discovery of the victim’s body, police operatives launched a series of hot pursuit operations based on witness accounts.

The operations resulted in the arrest of one suspect, which subsequently led to the apprehension of three other individuals believed to be directly involved in the crime.

All four suspects are currently under police custody as authorities prepare to file charges of rape with homicide before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Malolos City.

Police Colonel Jay Baybayan, Provincial Director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, commended the operating units for their swift and coordinated response, emphasizing the importance of prompt police action and thorough investigation in solving serious crimes.
