Zoobic Safari announced the birth of an African lion cub named Tina, born June 8, 2026, to resident lions Koko and Mayumi at the safari park in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

According to the park, Tina has been under the care of its animal care team since birth and is showing healthy growth and development.

The birth marks another milestone in Zoobic Safari’s wildlife conservation and animal care efforts, the park said. Visitors will also have an opportunity to learn more about African lions and the importance of wildlife conservation and habitat protection.

“Every new life reminds us of our responsibility to protect wildlife and our planet. Tina’s birth is a celebration of hope and conservation, inspiring us all to care for the environment and the incredible animals we share it with,” said Robert Laurel Yupangco, president and CEO of Zoobic Safari.

The park said Tina’s birth reflects the work of its veterinarians, animal keepers and conservation staff in providing care for its animal collection. Updates on the lion cub’s development will be shared through Zoobic Safari’s official social media channels, including information on when visitors may be able to see her as she reaches appropriate developmental milestones.
