ZAMBALES— The Municipality of San Antonio will host about 300 tourism officers from across Central Luzon during the 2026 Association of Tourism Officers of Central Luzon (ATOCEL) Convention on July 30-31.

The annual convention will bring together tourism officers from the region’s seven provinces and highly urbanized cities to discuss tourism programs, strengthen collaboration among local government units and promote sustainable tourism initiatives.

The municipality’s selection as host comes after its recognition as the top tourist destination in Central Luzon last year.

Mayor Dr. Arvin Antipolo said San Antonio is honored to welcome tourism officials from across the region and showcase the municipality’s tourism attractions.

“It is a privilege for San Antonio to host this year’s ATOCEL Convention. We are excited to welcome our fellow tourism officers and partners from across Central Luzon and share the beauty, culture and hospitality that make our municipality a premier destination,” Antipolo said.

He said the gathering is expected to strengthen cooperation in promoting sustainable tourism while giving delegates the opportunity to experience the municipality’s beaches, island destinations and ecotourism sites.

Antipolo also invited tourists and stakeholders to visit San Antonio.

“We invite everyone to come and experience San Antonio — where beautiful places meet friendly faces. Whether it’s our pristine beaches, rich natural attractions or the warmth of our people, we are ready to welcome you,” he said.

Organizers expect about 300 delegates from local government units across Central Luzon to attend the two-day convention, which will include discussions on tourism development, the exchange of best practices and partnership-building among participating local governments. (Jun M. Dumaguing)
