CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has launched an investigation into a viral social media video allegedly showing criminology students under the influence of alcohol while onboard a vehicle in Cabanatuan City.
Following the circulation of the video online, the Cabanatuan City Police Station immediately initiated verification efforts to identify the individuals involved and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Initial findings reportedly confirmed that the individuals seen in the video are criminology students. Authorities have since coordinated with the concerned educational institution to facilitate further verification and appropriate action.
Police also established contact with the uploader of the viral video, who signified willingness to cooperate with investigators and assist in the documentation of the incident.
Meanwhile, the Cabanatuan CPS coordinated with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) regarding the vehicle featured in the video. Administrative proceedings have been initiated pending further evaluation.
PRO3 Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez emphasized the importance of discipline and accountability, particularly among individuals aspiring to join law enforcement service.
“This incident serves as a reminder that discipline and responsible behavior must be practiced at all times, especially by those aspiring to become future law enforcers,” Mendez said.
