CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has deployed more than 3,500 personnel across Central Luzon in preparation for the opening of classes on June 8, 2026, as part of its Oplan Balik-Eskwela 2026 initiative.

According to PRO3, a total of 3,537 personnel have been mobilized to ensure the safety and security of students, teachers, and school personnel in 4,376 public and private schools throughout the region.

The deployment includes 1,911 police officers, 299 personnel from various government agencies, and 1,327 force multipliers. To strengthen security measures, PRO3 has established 279 Police Assistance Desks and will deploy 777 mobile patrols and 517 foot patrol teams in strategic locations, including school zones, transport terminals, and major thoroughfares.

PRO3 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Jess B. Mendez assured the public that all police units have been directed to maintain maximum visibility and readiness to respond to any incidents during the school opening period.

“As classes resume, our police officers will be where they are needed most to ensure the safety of our learners and provide peace of mind to parents and teachers,” Mendez said.

He also emphasized the importance of close coordination among local government units, school authorities, and community partners to ensure a safe, orderly, and successful opening of classes throughout Central Luzon.

PRO3 reiterated its commitment to creating a secure environment where students can learn, teachers can teach, and communities can thrive as another school year begins. (Jason de Asis)
