FAB-registered enterprises recognized as Bataan top tax contributors

BATAAN – Enterprises operating in the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) were among the province’s top tax contributors recognized by the Provincial Government of Bataan during the Sinag ng Bataan awards, a program acknowledging taxpayers whose remittances support provincial services and development programs.

The ceremony, held on 9 January 2026 at the Bataan Tourism Pavilion in Balanga City as part of the province’s 269th Foundation Day celebration, recognized individuals and organizations contributing to local and national revenue collection.

Several FAB-registered enterprises were awarded under the one-percent share from the five-percent Gross Income Earned (GIE) tax of Freeport locators. These include East-Cam Tech Corporation, Dunlop International Philippines Inc., Ruzena Estates Development Corporation, Essilor Manufacturing Philippines Inc., and Mitsumi Philippines Inc.

Among the awardees, Mitsumi Philippines Inc. was named Top 1 Taxpayer under the one-percent GIE share for Fiscal Year 2024. The award was received by Mitsumi General Manager Yoshitaka Kitahara, together with members of the company’s management team.

The awards were conferred through the Provincial Treasury Office as part of the provincial government’s annual recognition of top taxpayers. Revenues collected from transfer taxes and the province’s GIE share from FAB enterprises support infrastructure projects, public services, and social programs across Bataan.

The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), under the leadership of Administrator and CEO Hussein P. Pangandaman, welcomed the recognition of FAB enterprises, noting that their consistent tax contributions reflect the Freeport’s role in sustaining provincial revenue alongside employment and industrial activity.

The presence of FAB enterprises among the province’s top taxpayers demonstrates how investment activity inside the Freeport translates into direct support for public programs that benefit communities throughout Bataan. (PR)
