High-Value Target, Two Others Arrested in Bataan Drug Bust; PHP 550K Worth of Shabu Seized

PAMPANGA — Police authorities in Central Luzon scored a major victory in the region’s anti-drug campaign with the arrest of three individuals—including a high-value individual (HVI)—during a successful buy-bust operation in Dinalupihan, Bataan on Friday afternoon.

The Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Dinalupihan Municipal Police Station conducted the operation around 4:45 PM in Barangay Pagasa, resulting in the apprehension of suspects identified only by their aliases: “Jeric,” 25; “Rosa,” 63, classified as a high-value individual; and “Lyn,” 41, all residents of the said barangay.

A follow-up search led to the confiscation of approximately 81.1 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price estimated at ₱551,480.00, according to police reports.

Police Brigadier General Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), commended the swift and coordinated efforts of the operatives.

“This arrest is another significant blow to the illegal drug network in Central Luzon. Our relentless campaign continues—guided by the marching orders of our Chief PNP—to protect our communities and dismantle the operations of drug personalities who prey on the vulnerable,” Peñones Jr. stated.

Authorities are preparing charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, against the suspects, who are currently under police custody.

The operation is part of the intensified anti-illegal drugs campaign of PRO3 under the Philippine National Police’s continuing efforts to eliminate drug trafficking and criminality in the region. (Jason de Asis)
