ZAMBALES– The Philippine Fleet (PF) stands ready to deploy at a moment’s notice as it reaffirms its role in national resilience through sustained preparedness for humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) operations.
Philippine Fleet Commander RADM Joe Anthony Orbe said that with approximately 60 naval and air assets strategically stationed across the country, the Philippine Fleet is positioned for rapid deployment to disaster-stricken areas when needed.
“These assets are integral in delivering critical relief supplies, conducting search and rescue operations, transporting emergency personnel and equipment, and providing essential services to isolated or severely affected communities particularly areas inaccessible by other modes of transport except by sea,” added Orbe.

To uphold its rapid response capability, the Fleet also ensures the sustained operational readiness of both its personnel and deployed assets which enables it to respond efficiently and effectively whenever called upon, all while advancing naval operations and supporting broader maritime security objectives under the Comprehensive Archipelagic Defense Concept (CADC).
“As a core component of the country’s maritime defense, the Philippine Fleet not only safeguards national sovereignty but also serves as a vital force in HADR operations, committed to protecting lives and supporting Filipino communities in times of need,” said Orbe. (pr)
