AURORA-In a continued effort to make quality healthcare accessible to all Filipinos, the Department of Health (DOH) led the successful implementation of the “Lab for All” Caravan in Aurora Province from July 10 to 15, 2025. Spearheaded by DOH Undersecretary Glenn Matthew Baggao and Regional Director Dr. Corazon Flores, the event underscored the DOH’s advocacy to deliver affordable and quality healthcare services to communities across the country.
Aurora Provincial Health Office posted in their fb account that the weeklong caravan, held in partnership with various national agencies, local government units, and private stakeholders, provided free medical consultations, laboratory services, minor surgeries, dental care, X-ray and ECG procedures, along with the distribution of free medicines, hygiene kits, maternity kits, and mother-and-child kits.
More than 5,000 residents from different towns in Aurora benefitted from the health services, which were made possible through the collaborative efforts of Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH), Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center (PJGMRMC), Talavera General Hospital (TGH), Provincial DOH Office – Aurora (PDOHO-Aurora), and the Aurora Provincial Health Office (PHO).
The initiative was also held with the support of First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, who has been actively promoting inclusive healthcare access through the “Lab for All” advocacy across the country.
“This program reflects a compassionate and collaborative approach to public health. It embodies our commitment to building a healthier nation through unity and service,” said DOH officials during the event.
The “Lab for All” Caravan forms part of the government’s Bagong Pilipinas initiative, reinforcing the belief that “Every Life Matters.” As it continues to roll out in more communities, the program brings the government’s promise of equitable healthcare closer to reality for all Filipinos, especially those in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
