All illegal drugs burned during a high-profile destruction event led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. were confirmed completely destroyed, with no trace of shabu, marijuana, cocaine, or ecstasy found in the ashes.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency ( PDEA) tested ash samples from four separate burn batches at a facility in Capas, Tarlac. All tests came back negative, proving the effectiveness and transparency of the incineration process.
The destroyed drugs, worth โฑ9.4 billion, included a large amount of shabu recently recovered by fishermen off northern Luzon. (PIA-Gitnang Luzon)
