Pilot of TV host and Senatorial candidate Willie Revillame dies in chopper crash

NUEVA ECIJA – A light helicopter with body number RP-C3424 crashed into a swamp in Sitio Arimung-mong, Barangay San Miguel, Guimba, Nueva Ecija, on February 1, 2025, at approximately 5:00 PM, resulting in one fatality.

The victim was a 25 years old lady pilot, a resident of Parañaque City and reported to be the pilot of TV host and senatorial candidate Willie Revillame.

At around 9:00 PM, Revillame was reported personally visited HM Mina Funeral Services in Pacac, Guimba, where the victim’s remains were brought. The pilot’s body is set to be transported to Heritage Park in Parañaque.

According to Lt. Col. George C. Calauad, Jr., Chief of Guimba Police Station, authorities immediately launched rescue and recovery operations following the crash. “The cause of the helicopter crash is still under investigation, and we have already coordinated with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) for a thorough assessment of the incident,” he stated.

Meanwhile, CAAP confirmed that the Philippine Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Center (PARCC) received multiple emergency alerts about the incident. The Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board (AAIIB) has deployed (Ret.) Col. Rhomel Ronda to the crash site to determine the cause of the accident.
