Participating units from the United States, Philippines and other navy allies conducts a combined anti-submarine exercise (CASEX), deck landing qualification, and night steaming in company as part of the Sama Sama Exercise 2024 held in Norther Luzon.
PN’s BRP Jose Rizal (FF150), the lead ship of her class and Anti Submarine Helicopter (AW159); Royal Canadian Navy’s Halifax-class frigate HMCS Vancouver (FFG331); United States Navy’s Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Howard (DDG-83) and Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk (MH-60R) participated in the exercise.
The Philippines (AFP) and SAMASAMA Exercise allied forces are long-standing partners in force readiness and capability development.
