BULACAN — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has seized a motor vessel suspected to be involved in fuel pilferage (locally known as “paihi”) in the vicinity waters of Barangay Binuangan, Obando, Bulacan.
The said motor vessel, TJR 3, with eight Filipino crew on board was sighted by the Coast Guard team while conducting a maritime patrol. During the boarding inspection, PCG personnel found that the motor vessel had no pertinent documents and carried alleged pilfered or smuggled fuel.
The Coast Guard team towed the TJR 3 towards Pier 18, Vitas, Tondo, Manila utilizing the diesel fast craft DF-302 for further investigation.
