Fleet send-off BRP Apolinario Mabini to Visayas

ZAMBALES – The Philippine Fleet (PF), through the Offshore Combat Force (OCF), deployed the Jacinto-class patrol vessel BRP Apolinario Mabini (PS36) to the operational area of Naval Forces Central in Visayas, in a send-off ceremony held at the Naval Operating Base (NOB) Subic, Zambales on Wednesday, September 25.

OCF Commander, Capt. Raul Regis, led the ceremony for PS36 as it successfully completed its Dry Docking and Other Related Repairs (DDORR) for almost three years.

In his remarks, Regis lauded the officers and crew of BRP Apolinario Mabini led by its Commanding Officer, Lt. Cmdr. Cristoffer Neil Calvo on their “dedication and commitment in exemplifying the standards of the Philippine Fleet and the Philippine Navy as a whole.

He also urged them to continue their enthusiasm and dedication shown in service to the Filipino people and the country.

The BRP Apolinario Mabini has been one of the invaluable platforms utilized for the defense of Philippine maritime domain. Its latest deployment is part of the Navy’s conduct of Territorial Defense Operations, Maritime Patrol Operations, and logistics support missions to the respective areas of responsibility in the maritime waters of the Philippine archipelago.
