Philippine Air Force (PAF) fighter pilots and their counterparts from the Armée de l’Air et de l’Espace executed Basic Fighter Maneuvers over the skies of West Zambales on July 30, 2024.
The exercise involved two FA-50PH fighter jets from the PAF and two Rafale jets from the France Air and Space Force. Both air forces demonstrated their tactical maneuvering skills and techniques in a simulated combat scenario, showcasing their proficiency in air-to-air combat.

On July 29, two FA-50PHs, two Rafale jets, an A330M transport aircraft, and an A400M Airbus military transport aircraft from the FASF conducted a joint flight to demonstrate the Rafale jets’ air-to-air refueling capabilities.
This joint aerial exercise is a key component of the French military’s Projection of a Heavy Air Package in Southeast Asia (PEGASE) 2024. (PAF photos)
