OLONGAPO CITY– “Let us put pride and let us be very proud that we are all together as part of the SM group. Consistency on our procedures and on how we serve our customers would be the key. Our aim is to provide maximum security and safety to all our customers,” these are the words of Almus J. Alabe, SM Supermalls Head of Security Affairs during the 3rd Joint Tactical Inspection and General Assembly of security personnel and agencies held at SM City Olongapo Central SMX Convention Center on May 24,2024.

The annual activity, participated by SM City Olongapo Central, SM City Olongapo Downtown, SM City Bataan and SM City Tarlac aims to test the administrative efficiency, training management, proficiency, and emergency response skills of security force assigned in SM Supermalls, SM Retail Group and its affiliates to ensure the safety of customers, employees and tenants.
Olongapo City Police Office Director PCol Charlie D. Umayam was the Guest of Honor and Speaker in the said event. “I urge you all to be proactive in your roles as security personnel, don’t hesitate to report suspicious activities. Implement preventive measures and collaborate closely with our local law enforcement agencies such as PNP or LED of SBMA.

Together we can build a secure environment that cultivates confidence in our city’s residents and visitors,” he said in his speech.
Meanwhile, Bien C. Mateo, SM Supermalls Senior Vice President emphasized in his message the importance of each SM personnel, “you are the reason why SM continues to grow. Whether small or big, what we do is important to the owner of SM, ” he said.

Sharing honors were Rafael T. Tejada, AVP-OIC for Customer Relations Service of SCMC, Victor G. Santiago, AVP CRS-FRG, Melchor E. Mesoza, AVP CRS SM Retail Group, and Roger M. Federezo, President and General Manager of RMF Security Agency.
Also present were Engr. Bong Garcia,Regional Operations Manager for North 4, North 4 Mall officials and Olongapo City Tourism Head Fifi Legaspi with Miss Olongapo Earth 2023 Jasmin Moawad.

Apart from the inspection, commendation and awards were also given to employees and security personnel who turned in money, cellphones and other valuables to mall patrons. The Joint Tactical Inspection is one of the annual exercises observed in all SM Supermalls nationwide that aims to examine personnel compliance to the company’s security standards and policies.
