BALER, Aurora-The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) enforced the Ombudsman order dismissing Aurora Governor Lawyer Christian M. Noveras, Lawyer Gerardo A. Noveras and Michael A. Tecuico for Grave Misconduct, Conduct Prejudicial to the Best Interest of the Service and Conduct of Unbecoming of Public Officials case on Monday, April 22, 2024.

Through the directive of DILG regional director Lawyer Anthony C. Nuyda to DILG Provincial Director Eno Cambronero, the implementation of the dismissal in service order of Ombudsman was given personally to acting governor Reynante Tolentino at the Governor’s Office, Capitol Building, Barangay Suklayin, Baler, Aurora.

Cambronero gave the letter of DILG informing the decision of Ombudsman OMB-L-22-02100 for the penalty of dismissal in service of the said three personalities.

After an hour, Tolentino took oath of office as appointed Governor of Aurora province to Mayor Danilo A. Tolentino of Dipaculao, Aurora as inducting officer.

Governor Tolentino said it’s an honor and a privilege to work together with the dedicated men and women at the provincial Capitol serving the people of Aurora.

“Ituloy natin ang All out na serbisyo para sa lahat,” Tolentino said.

All department heads and staff at the capitol paid courtesy call to the appointed governor manifesting their gratefulness, full cooperation and support.

The complaint stemmed from an incident on 30 March 2022 involving the alleged illegal printing of election propaganda or campaign materials/tarpaulins of respondents G. Noveras and C. Noveras [the Noveras] who were then running for vice-gubernatorial and gubernatorial positions, respectively, in the Province of Aurora. (Jason de Asis)
