ZAMBALES– The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Zambales, under the leadership of Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) Engr. Emmanuel G. Aguinaldo, attended the exploratory talk with the officers of Naval Education Training and Doctrine Command (NETC) in San Antonio, Zambales and Philippine Naval Operation Base in Subic, Zambales.
During the meeting, Aguinaldo introduced the Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (PAHP), a convergence of services by DAR and other government participating agencies, that aims to promote food security and alleviate poverty by 2030.
Under PAHP, the San Marcelino Corn Producers (SMCP) Cooperative, a DAR-assisted agrarian reform beneficiaries organization (ARBO) in this province commit to deliver their commodities such as rice, vegetables, root crops, fruits, pork, chicken, eggs and the like, to NETC and the Naval Operation Base as institutional buyers.

Joining the SMCP Cooperative who will act as consolidator in this undertaking will be twenty (20) more ARBOs in the province of Zambales.
The meeting was also attended by DAR Assistant Secretary Ubaldo R. Sadiarin, Jr., Ma. Susan Gambalan, representatives from DAR Regional Office CARPO for Field Operations Division Iluminado Ocampo, Engr. Vic Batu and other staff from DAR Bataan and Zambales.
