TARLAC – Three active enlisted personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) were arrested and yielded around Php 340,000.00 worth of shabu following a buy-bust operation in Barangay Anupul, Bamban town on Sunday night (February 4).
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Tarlac reported that the said three soldiers are considered high-value- targets because they are in active status.
PDEA agents recovered one (1) piece of knot-tied transparent plastic sachet containing more or less 50 grams of shabu worth Php 340,000.00; one (1) unit Rock Island Caliber 45 ( AFP Issued Firearm) loaded with magazine with four (4) live ammunition; a Suzuki Dzire sedan; and the marked money used by the confidential agent.
A non-bailable offense of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to Section 26 B (conspiracy to sell) under Republic Act 9165 will be charged against the arrested suspects.
