Zambales—The Philippine Navy welcomes the arrival of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) counterparts as they made port call for a four-day goodwill visit at Riviera Wharf in Subic Bay Freeport Zone on Monday, November 27.

The RMN contingent arrived on board offshore patrol vessel KD Kedah (FF171) and fast patrol craft KD Todak (3506).
They were received by a PN delegation led by Commander Adonie Aromin and joined by Malaysia’s Defense Attaché Col. Ahmad Jafri Bin Ahmad Zuliyadai and Assistant Defense Attaché Lt. Cmdr. Yuzzlaizat Bin Mohammad Yunus.
According to PN Fleet spokesman Lt. Giovanni Badidles, the arrival kicked off RMN’s four-day goodwill visit and interactions with Philippine counterparts that will include courtesy call of Eastern Fleet Commander, Vice Adm. Dato’ Pahlawan Hi Muhammad Ruzelme on PN leadership, shipboard tour exchange, reciprocal receptions and concluding Passing Exercise (PASSEX).
“These interactions not only contribute to building trust and cooperation among nations but also provide opportunities for respective navies to show capabilities and share best practices in carrying out mandates in support of regional security and stability,” Badidles said.
The goodwill visit also aims to sustain the already–strong bilateral relations between the Philippines and Malaysia founded on both countries’ commitment to maritime security and cooperation in the region.
