Philippine Navy ships sailed in formation with their counterparts in a sea phase interoperability exercise dubbed Sama-Sama, or Together.

Led by BRP Antonio Luna FF151 – PF together with HMCS Vancouver / NCSM Vancouver (FFH331), #JSAkebono (DD108), USS Dewey (DDG 105) and HMS Spey carried out various shipboard evolutions, strengthening interoperability and cooperation.

This year’s iteration of the exercise will see the participation of the Royal Australian Navy, Royal Canadian Navy, Marine nationale, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, and the Royal Navy in SMEEs and HADR events. While the Royal New Zealand Navy and TNI Angkatan Laut will join as observers.

Exercise Samasama is an annual bilateral navy-to-navy exercise between the Philippine Navy and U.S. Navy aimed at enhancing interoperability and promoting cooperation.
