SUBIC BAY FREEPORT– The Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Subic headed by District Collector Ciriaco Ugay, announced in a meeting of key government agencies his plan to establish a One-Stop-Shop (OSS) at the Subic Bay International Terminal Corporation (SBITC).
The initiative aims to streamline and expedite trade processes at the Port of Subic, bolstering economic growth and efficiency in the region.

The meeting, attended by representatives from the BOC, SBITC, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, Bureau of Animal Industry, Bureau of Plant Industry, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, National Meat Inspection Services and other pertinent government agencies, was held to deliberate on the comprehensive plan for the OSS.
The objective is to create a centralized hub where all customs and trade-related activities can be efficiently coordinated, ultimately reducing trade barriers and transaction costs.
“We are enthusiastic about the positive impact this innovative venture will have on the trade community and the economy as a whole.” Ugay said.
This initiative to have an OSS by Ugay and Deputy Collector for Assessment Atty. Mariette D. Zamoranos reflects one of the BOC’s 5-point priority program and that is to simplify procedures and facilitate secure trade, creating a more conducive environment for trade and investment in the Philippines particularly the Port of Subic.
