SUBIC–AFP Chief of Staff Andres Centino visited three of the five naval ships currently docked in Subic, Zambales, July 1, to inspect their modern warfare capabilities.
Centino boarded BRP Antonio Luna (FF-151), the Philippine Navy’s missile frigate which recently gained anti-submarine warfare capability through the arrival of the AW159 ASW “Wildcat” helicopter.
The BRP Antonio Luna conducts multi-role operations and has surface-to-air missiles. FF-151 is the second ship of the Navy’s Jose Rizal-class, missile-guided frigates that is capable of anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, and anti-air warfare.
Centino also visited BRP Conrado Yap and BRP Ramon Alcaraz. (PIA)
