Ang Pahayagan

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT—Nagsumite na ng kanyang pagbibibitiw sa puwesto si Rolen Paulino bilang chairman at administrator ng Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), ayon sa opisyal na pahayag na inilabas nitong Martes, Abril 04.

Nakasaad sa kaniyang nilagdaang courtesy resignation na magiging ng epektibo sa Abril 15, 2023 ang kanyang pagbaba sa puwesto upang aniya bigyan ng “free hand” si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos na mamili sa napipisil ng huli na manungkulan para sa SBMA at sa Subic Bay Freeport zone sa kabuoan.

“I have formally tendered my courtesy resignation as Chairman and Administrator of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, effective April 15, 2023. Despite having a fixed term of 6 years as provided in Republic Act 7227 or the Bases Conversion Development Act, I shall adhere to instructions from the Office of the President as an obedient soldier and dedicated public servant. I trust the good judgement of the President as he knows better,” saad sa statement ni Paulino.

Pinasalamatan din ng SBMA Chairman ang kanyang mga empleyado, kaibigan,  gayundin ang mga local at lider nasyunal na kanyang nakatrabaho upang maayos na maisakatuparan ang mga programa para sa Freeport.

“My sincere gratitude goes to the men and women of the SBMA who have supported me in my brief but memorable and heartwarming time as their leader, mentor, friend and ally, and to the local and national leaders who have helped me realize my plans and programs for the Freeport,” ani Paulino sa kanyang liham.

Nauna rito ay nagpaalam si Paulino sa harap ng mga empleyado ng ahensiya sa regular na lowering of flag noong Biyernes nitong Marso 31. (Ulat para sa Ang Pahayagan ni JUN DUMAGUING)
