Subic, ZAMBALES — As part of the 87th AFP Anniversary celebration this month, the Philippine Fleet (PF) facilitated a series of ship tour from December 15 to 21 featuring the frigates BRP Jose Rizal FF150 – PF and BRP Antonio Luna FF151 – PF, BRP Andres Bonifacio PS17- PF and landing docks BRP Tarlac LD601 and BRP Davao del Sur LD602.
Welcomed on board were civilians coming from the different Local Government Units and local populace in Zambales in the efforts to showcase the Navy’s capabilities and modernization and likewise attract especially the youth to join the organization in the near future.
The vessels’ crews accommodated these stakeholders, and oriented them on the integrated systems of the ships, as well as the shipboard life in general.
Activities like this significantly help the Philippine Fleet achieved its goals of educating the affiliated stakeholders about the Navy’s contributions to the nation that is consistent with this year’s anniversary theme “AFP@87: Kaisa ng Buong Sambayanan Tungo sa Mapayapa, Matatag, at Maunlad na Pilipinas.”
