An Approximately 35 grams of high-grade-type of cannabis (marijuana) from USA was seized from a female claimant following a controlled delivery operation at about 3:40 p.m, along Labahita St., Longos, Malabon City on Tuesday (September 13).

According to PDEA Region III report, the apprehended claimant was identified as Johanna Claire Clarion y Tuboran @Clare Clarion, resident of Blk 14-D Lot 8, Labahita St. Brgy. Longos, 1472 Malabon City.

Authorities said that the subject package from USA arrived last September 5, 2022 at Port of Clark and was declared as “Goodies”.

“The package underwent X-ray inspection and K9 sniffing that led to the discovery of eight plastic screw cap bottles containing MOL 35 gram of Kush (high grade cannabis) amounting to Php 45,500.00.”, said the PDEA team leader.

The controlled delivery operation was jointly conducted by operatives led by PDEA Central Luzon, Clark Inter Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group, PDEA-NCR NDO and Bureau of Customs Port of Clark.

A case for violation of Section 4 (importation of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 will be filed against the apprehended claimant.
