BATAAN — The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Dong-In Sunbirds Corp., has launched the first batch of its Skills Development Training Program aimed at boosting workforce readiness in the province.
A total of 14 trainees have been enrolled in the initial run of the program, where they will undergo seven to 12 days of hands-on training designed to enhance their technical competencies and prepare them for employment within the Freeport Area of Bataan.
The initiative includes a direct employment pathway, allowing qualified trainees to be considered for immediate hiring by Dong-In Sunbirds Corp. following evaluation.
Organizers said additional batches are expected to be rolled out to expand the program and provide more beneficiaries with access to skills training and job opportunities.
The collaboration seeks to strengthen the link between government support programs and industry partners, promoting inclusive growth and increasing access to employment in the local community.(PR)
