Dinamulag Festival 2026 Highlights Mango Industry, Sports, and Talent

Zambales — Mango production and community development took center stage as the Dinamulag Festival 2026 continued to showcase the province’s pride, bringing together farmers, athletes, and performers in a vibrant celebration of culture and progress.

Around 300 mango growers gathered at Batungbacal Farms in Barangay Buhawen, Palauig for a comprehensive industry training aimed at strengthening the province’s flagship agricultural sector. Provincial Agriculturist Arnel V. Abayan led discussions on the Mango Valley Project, modern farming techniques, and innovations to improve productivity.

The training covered key areas such as canopy management and pruning, fertilization, and the application of paclobutrazol (PACLO) to enhance yield. Abayan also discussed the Zambales Mango Green Valley Project—an initiative designed to expand and sustain production of the province’s renowned carabao or “Dinamulag” mango.

The four-year, P50-million program supports the vision of Zambales Governor Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. to modernize the mango industry by improving crop management, integrating new technologies, and strengthening the value chain. It also includes establishing pilot farms, rehabilitating existing mango trees, and setting up nurseries across the province.

Participants were also trained in postharvest treatment techniques to ensure product quality and market competitiveness, capped by hands-on activities that allowed growers to apply what they learned.

Beyond agriculture, the festival’s second day featured a wide range of activities promoting sportsmanship and local talent. The Dinamulag Fun Mountain Bike Challenge at the Zambales Sports Complex drew cycling enthusiasts, with Governor Ebdane in attendance. Winners included John Lemon Alvarez and Michael Ochoa in their respective categories.

A firearms exhibit at the Zambales Legislative Building also attracted visitors, showcasing accredited dealers under strict regulation in coordination with the Philippine National Police – Firearms and Explosives Office.

Meanwhile, the 1st Governor’s Cup 10-Man Team Dinamulag Airsoft Competition and the 3rd Governor’s Cup ShootFest were held, emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and responsible firearm handling at Camp Captain Conrado D. Yap.

The day concluded with the Zamba Tuklas Talento 2026 Grand Finals, where performers from across Luzon showcased their skills in music and dance. Top winners included Amazing Resiklo, Trixie Dayrit, Hezron Jhon Rafanan, and Precious Melody Dela Cruz.

With its mix of agriculture, sports, and cultural showcases, the Dinamulag Festival 2026 continues to strengthen tourism, unity, and pride among Zambaleños while reinforcing its role as a key platform for development in the province.
