Power Transmission Restored in Aurora Following Line Tripping Incident

BALER, Aurora — Full power transmission services were restored in parts of Aurora Province at 11:55 AM today (Good Friday), April 3, 2026, following an unexpected tripping incident along the Cabanatuan–San Luis 69kV line on the evening of April 2, 2026.

The temporary outage affected subscribers of the Aurora Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AURELCO), resulting in a disruption of electricity services in various areas across the province.

According to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), crews responded promptly to the tripping incident reported at 8:42 PM on April 2, conducting necessary repairs and system checks to safely restore power.

NGCP extended appreciation to the public for their patience and understanding during the power interruption, noting that the swift response minimized the impact on households and businesses in the province.

Authorities reminded residents that any unusual fluctuations or outages should be immediately reported to their local electric cooperative to ensure timely assistance and system reliability. (Jason de Asis)
