PHILIPPINE FLEET HOLDS COMMUNITY OUTREACH FOR AETA STUDENTS IN SUBIC

ZAMBALES — In support of the Philippine Navy Gender and Development (GAD) Center and the nationwide observance of National Women’s Month 2026, the Philippine Fleet conducted a community outreach program at Saint Francis Learning Center Foundation Inc. in Sitio San Martin, Barangay Cawag, Subic, Zambales.

The initiative featured a gift-giving activity for 34 Aeta students, led by female officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resources of the Philippine Fleet under the leadership of Assistant Chief of Fleet Staff for Financial Management (F10), Captain Leah G. Estabillo. The outreach aimed to support indigenous learners while promoting inclusivity and strengthening community engagement.

In addition to the distribution of gifts, personnel aboard BRP Gregorio Velasquez (AGR702) conducted a feeding program for the students, providing both nourishment and encouragement. The activity forms part of the Fleet’s continuing efforts to extend meaningful assistance to underserved communities.

As part of its pre-anniversary activities, the Philippine Fleet reaffirmed its commitment to gender equality, inclusivity, and community service—demonstrating that its mission goes beyond maritime operations to include uplifting communities and fostering stronger civilian ties.
