TARLAC — The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has laid out plans to transform New Clark City into the country’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub.
With the Philippines being this year’s chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. placing AI at the center of the national agenda, Central Luzon has a clear mandate and BCDA is delivering on it.
During the First General Membership Meeting of the Clark Investors and Locators Association (CILA), BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Joshua Bingcang mentioned that the roadmap for New Clark City has already been clearly outlined.
“Clark will be in support as an AI hub in the country. That’s why, we are inviting more partners to support that innovation and development by hosting them here,” he added.
Turning New Clark City into the country’s AI hub is part of the city’s development plan, together with Clark International Airport expanding its connectivity, affordable housing being rolled out for working Filipinos, a waste-to-energy facility, and world-class sports facilities taking shape.
Meanwhile, Bingcang also led the induction of the 2026 CILA Board of Directors, headed by Chairperson Gerald Medina and President Ernesto Gorospe.
They are the team that will help the state-owned firm drive this vision from blueprint to reality, he said. (PIA- 3)
