CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has recorded a 14.95 percent decline in focus crimes across Central Luzon, reflecting intensified police operations and strengthened peace and order initiatives in the region.
Data from PRO3 showed that focus crime incidents decreased from 214 cases recorded between February 1–23, 2026 to 182 cases during the period of February 24–March 18, 2026.
PRO3 Regional Director Jess B. Mendez attributed the decline to sustained police visibility, proactive law enforcement operations, and strengthened coordination with communities and key stakeholders.
“This positive development reflects our firm commitment to proactive policing and strong community partnership. We will sustain and further strengthen our efforts to ensure safer communities across Central Luzon,” Mendez said.
The regional director noted that significant reductions were recorded across several focus crime categories, including murder, homicide, physical injury, rape, robbery, theft, and carnapping, indicating improved operational effectiveness among police units in the field.
Despite the improvement, PRO3 said it continues to closely monitor emerging crime trends and has implemented targeted interventions in areas that require additional attention.
The regional police office emphasized that these efforts are anchored on the agenda of the Philippine National Police to strengthen intelligence-driven operations, enhance police visibility, and deepen community engagement.
Guided by the principle “Pulis Central Luzon: Nagbibigay ng Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman,” PRO3 reaffirmed its commitment to delivering responsive, reliable, and people-centered police service to ensure the continued safety and security of communities across Central Luzon.
