Aurora Police Welcomes New Provincial Director in Turnover Ceremony

BALER, Aurora — The Aurora Police Provincial Office (APPO) formally welcomed its new provincial director during a turnover of office ceremony held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Camp Captain Ravina, Barangay Sabang, Baler, Aurora.

The ceremony was presided over by Jess B. Mendez, Acting Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), and attended by officials from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, as well as local government leaders and partner agencies.

During the event, outgoing Provincial Director Robert L. Petate formally relinquished his post and symbolically transferred leadership to incoming Provincial Director Percival R. Pineda through the signing of official documents, turnover of the office symbol, and property accountability.

In his farewell message, Petate expressed gratitude to police personnel, stakeholders, and community partners for their unwavering support throughout his leadership.

“As I step down from my post, I do so with a grateful heart and deep sense of fulfillment. The successes we have achieved were made possible through teamwork, dedication, and the strong partnership we built with our stakeholders and the community. I am confident that Aurora PPO will continue to thrive under new leadership,” Petate said.

Meanwhile, Pineda assured the continuity of programs and initiatives aimed at maintaining peace and order in the province.

“I humbly accept the responsibility entrusted to me and assure everyone that I will continue the gains of Aurora PPO. With the support of our personnel and stakeholders, we will further strengthen our efforts in maintaining peace and order and delivering quality police service to the people of Aurora,” Pineda said.

The ceremony also featured the inauguration of the APPO Main Gate Arch and the unveiling of the Heroes Wall, symbolizing honor, legacy, and the organization’s commitment to service. The facilities were formally unveiled and blessed during the event led by Brig. Gen. Mendez.
