Regional Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee and Joint Anti-Bank Robbery and Cybercrime Coordinating Committee convenes to Bolster Whole-of-Government Enforcement

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Authorities in Central Luzon intensified their coordinated crackdown on public safety threats as the Regional Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee (RLECC) 3 and the Joint Anti-Bank Robbery and Cybercrime Coordinating Committee (JABRACCC) 3 convened for a joint meeting on February 23, 2026, reaffirming their whole-of-government approach to law enforcement.

Held at the PRO3 Multi-Purpose Hall in Camp Olivas, the meeting centered on updates in sustained inter-agency operations, including the accounting and destruction of confiscated modified and illegal mufflers and the consolidation of recovered loose firearms across the region.

Data presented during the session showed that from June 19, 2025 to February 22, 2026, a total of 5,227 confiscated modified and illegal mufflers had already been destroyed by various operating units.

An additional 3,005 illegal mufflers were formally presented for destruction, reinforcing authorities’ campaign against violations that disrupt public order and endanger road safety.

Officials also reported that more than 4,000 loose and illegal firearms seized through continuing police and joint operations are now securely accounted for. These firearms, once considered significant threats to community safety, were recovered through intensified enforcement initiatives across Central Luzon.

PRO3 Regional Director Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. underscored that the accomplishments demonstrate the effectiveness of synchronized governance and shared accountability among law enforcement and partner agencies.

“These results show what we can achieve through a whole-of-government approach. This is not the effort of the PNP alone. Through the strong partnership within RLECC 3, JABRACCC 3, and our allied agencies, we continue to deliver concrete actions that protect our communities,” Peñones said.

He emphasized that the initiatives align with the Philippine National Police’s Focused Agenda, particularly in strengthening law enforcement efficiency, integrity, and accountability. Within Police Regional Office 3, these efforts are guided by its strategic direction known as the “3Ps” — Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism.

The joint meeting concluded with a renewed commitment among member-agencies to sustain coordinated enforcement drives, enhance intelligence sharing, and reinforce public safety mechanisms throughout Central Luzon, further institutionalizing collaborative governance in maintaining peace and order.
