The Philippine Coast Guard successfully conducted a towing operation for fishing banca FBCA Gift on February 18, 2026, in the waters off Capon Grande, Zambales.
While on maritime patrol near Bajo de Masinloc, BRP Cabra (MRRV-4409) spotted the distressed vessel near Silanguin Island and immediately rendered assistance, towing it safely toward Subic. The vessel had sustained engine damage due to rough sea conditions.
MRRV-4409 also rescued two crew members from FB Extra Pit, which reportedly submerged after being struck by a dolphin. All seven crew members are being escorted to Coast Guard Station Zambales for further assistance.
