SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — Yootopea Restaurant proudly announces the grand opening of its newest branch in Subic Freeport, marking another milestone in its expanding presence across Central Luzon.
Founded in 2019, Yootopea began as a humble food concept centered on mango slushies and takoyaki. Over the years, it has grown into a vibrant Asian dining destination known for its diverse menu, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to quality.
According to co-founder Kevin Basiño, Yootopea’s journey started with a simple yet ambitious vision. “Back in 2019, there was a popular mango slushy brand with long lines. We told ourselves—we can create something unique,” Basiño shared.
What began as a small food concept quickly evolved into a full-service restaurant offering a wide array of Asian dishes.
Yootopea steadily expanded, opening branches in Balanga. The Subic Freeport location now serves as the brand’s third branch, with additional expansion plans underway in Subic Town, Olongapo City, San Fernando, and Clark.

Like many businesses, Yootopea faced significant challenges during the global pandemic. Expansion plans were temporarily paused as the team strategically pivoted—forming partnerships with larger companies and adapting operations to meet changing market demands. These efforts strengthened the brand and positioned it for renewed growth.
A Celebration of Asian Cuisine
Yootopea Restaurant specializes in Asian cuisine, offering a flavorful lineup that includes: Laksa, Pad Thai, Ramen, Sushi, Vietnamese dishes, Thai specialties and Malaysian favorites.
Designed to appeal to both local diners and international guests, Yootopea embraces Subic’s diverse culinary culture. With reasonable pricing and a warm, welcoming ambiance, the restaurant aims to become a go-to destination for families, friends, and food enthusiasts.
To mark the grand opening, Yootopea is offering special discounts of up to ₱30 per meal for a limited time.
Built on Friendship and Partnership
Yootopea operates under The Silver Pantry, a company founded by high school classmates whose friendship spans more than two decades. From playing basketball together in their youth to building a thriving restaurant business, the founders’ strong bond and shared vision continue to drive the brand’s success.

“Our friendship is the foundation of this business,” said co-founder Aaron Del Rosario. “We’ve grown together, and now we’re growing Yootopea together.”
As Yootopea continues to expand, the team remains committed to serving high-quality Asian cuisine, fostering community connections, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. (APNT)
