OLONGAPO CITY – Personnel of the Olongapo City Fire Station responded to a vehicle collision that occurred along the National Highway near Samba Beach, Brgy. Kalaklan last Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Aside from providing on-site assistance, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel, together with CDRRMO, immediately addressed a potential fire and road hazard by applying sawdust to absorb diesel spill along the highway, ensuring public safety and preventing further risks.

The response was spearheaded by FSSupt Santos C. Gawongna, Officer-in-Charge of BFP Region 3, under the supervision of FSSupt Jeannette D. Jusayan, Provincial Fire Marshal of Zambales, and with the guidance of FSUPT Josie G. Lising, Olongapo City Fire Marshal.
The joint operation was conducted with the CDRRMO, Olongapo Traffic Management and Public Safety (OTMPS), Philippine National Police (PNP) and Brgy. Kalaklan Rescue.
