The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) conducted an audit entrance conference within the first week of January 2026 to formally open the Audit of Accounts and Operations for Calendar Year 2025.

The meeting brought together AFAB officials and the Commission on Audit audit team to align on audit objectives and reinforce their shared commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance.

Supervising Auditor Imelda S. Latay led the audit team, with Marjorie G. Tinao serving as Officer in Charge Audit Team Leader. The audit team discussed the audit scope, methodology, timelines, documentation requirements, and coordination mechanisms to guide the conduct of the CY 2025 audit.

AFAB management expressed full readiness to support all audit-related activities and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
