Sanyo Denki Philippines President and CEO Hirokazu Takeuchi explains to Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chairman and Administrator Eduardo Jose Aliño how Sanyo Denki fans and Japan-made LED grow lights are used to grow vegetables through a hydroponic system at the lobby of Building 255 in Subic Bay Freeport.

Sanyo Denki donated two Hydroponic System units to SBMA as part of their initiatives to encourage Freeport stakeholders to adopt healthy eating habits while testing these systems in a real-world scenario with a government agency as a test bed. The units deployed at Building 255 are currently growing Black Rose Lettuce and will be distributed to SBMA employees once ready for harvest. (Ang Pahayagan photo / JUN DUMAGUING)
