PAMPANGA — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has intensified security operations across Central Luzon to ensure public safety and order throughout the Yuletide season, in compliance with the directive of the Acting Chief of the Philippine National Police.
As part of the heightened security measures, PRO3 increased police visibility in transport terminals, major thoroughfares, and other areas of convergence to facilitate efficient traffic management, ensure prompt response to vehicular accidents, and enable immediate action against criminal incidents. Police units were also deployed to secure entry and exit points across the region to prevent the movement of criminal elements.
PRO3 further strengthened coordination with local government units (LGUs) to strictly enforce the ban on illegal firecrackers, allowing sales only in authorized areas. Law enforcement personnel were directed to observe zero tolerance for indiscriminate firing and the illegal discharge of firearms, with violators to be arrested without exception.
Additional security coverage was provided in churches, holiday masses, and other religious and community gatherings, ensuring the safety of the public during the peak of holiday activities.
Police Brigadier General Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Regional Director of PRO3, said the intensified operations reflect the region’s commitment to protecting communities during the holiday season.
“We are amplifying police visibility, enforcing the law without compromise, and working closely with our LGU partners to ensure that our communities can celebrate the holidays safely and peacefully,” Police Brig. General Peñones said.
The enhanced security measures underscore PRO3’s continuing commitment to deliver Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman, as Central Luzon observes the holiday season with heightened vigilance and community cooperation. (Jason de Asis)
