BALER, Aurora — Colonel Vicente Edgardo C. De Ocampo, Group Commander of the 3rd Regional Community Defense Group (RCDG), RESCOM, Philippine Army, visited the 307th Community Defense Center (CDC) on Saturday, December 6, 2025, to recognize the vital role of reservists in supporting community-based security and development efforts across Aurora Province.

Col. De Ocampo was received by Lt. Col. Ron Michael M. Soriao, Director of the 307th CDC, along with Lt. Col. Jesse P. Pimentel, former Commanding Officer of the 307th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, at the CDC headquarters in Barangay Calabuanan, Baler.

As part of the visit, the 3rd RCDG Commander delivered a “Talk to Troops,” where he expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the reservists for their unwavering support, steadfast performance, and continued service to the people of Aurora. He emphasized the importance of the reservist corps in strengthening national defense and sustaining peace and development initiatives at the grassroots level.

Col. De Ocampo also highlighted the current thrusts and priorities of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army, which include operational readiness, intensified community engagement, and deeper collaboration with local stakeholders. These efforts, he noted, are essential in ensuring that the reserve force remains capable, responsive, and closely connected with the communities they serve.

The visit concluded with a traditional boodle fight, symbolizing camaraderie, unity, and the strengthened bond between the active and reserve components of the Army.

The activity reaffirmed the commitment of the 3rd RCDG and 307th CDC to continuously enhance the skills, professionalism, and morale of the reservists in Aurora Province. (Jason de Asis)
